Senior Advisor, Wealth Advisory Services

Your opportunity

Our Ottawa/Montreal office is looking for a Senior Advisor to join the Wealth Management team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Identify complex financial planning needs and solutions for clients by considering the client’s wealth, life goals and other objectives
  • Serve as a resource for clients with complex needs surrounding financial planning, investments, insurance, tax management, retirement analysis, estate planning, succession planning, etc 
  • Develop recommendations and identify areas of opportunity to assist clients in achieving their financial goals
  • Execute the financial planning cycle by creating, editing and proofing financial plans
  • Liaise between investment dealers, accountants, lawyers and insurance professionals
  • Other Financial Planning tasks including but not limited to; meeting preparation, RRSP, RESP and TFSA account tracking, research assignments, preparing report packages and completing data entry in financial planning software

Your experience and education

  • You have completed your IQPF designation; CFP and/or CPA designation will be considered a strong asset but not required. 
  • You have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in the wealth/financial planning industry
  • You are Fluent in English and French, both oral and written communication 
  • You are inquisitive, have a curious attitude by continuously asking questions and looking for opportunities to make improvements
  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
  • You display strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport and trusting relationships with clients
  • You ideally have experience utilizing FP Solutions software and are proficient with MS Office programs; experience using TaxPrep software is an asset
