Administrative Assistant

University of Ottawa

This is a Contract position in Ottawa, ON posted November 11, 2020.

Salary (Grade: 07) Hiring salary range $50298$63,534

Position Purpose

Provides comprehensive administrative assistance in support of tasks performed by the Office of the Dean, especially tasks related to data entry, faculty hiring and organizing meetings.

Essential Qualifications

Knowledge of administrative support functions and office techniques normally acquired through postsecondary education in a relevant field
Minimum of three years’ experience in administrative support, preferably in an office setting
Experience in using computer systems and software such as Windows, word processors, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, databases, email and internet browsers
Knowledge of administrative procedures at the University of Ottawa and Telfer School of Management would be an asset
Experience in coordinating meetings, travel and events
Ability to prioritize while meeting strict deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to self-monitor work quality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Customer service orientation
Ability to work well in a team setting
Bilingualism – French and English (spoken and written)

Contract of approximately 12 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits and union affiliation will be determined upon hiring. All applications will be considered equally. Schedule with an average of 35hrs/week.
