Bilingual Project Manager II

University of Ottawa

This is a Contract position in Ottawa, ON posted January 7, 2021.

Salary (Grade: NM1) Hiring salary range $81069$111,470

Position Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of project management, specifically related to energy conservation, sustainability, and mechanical/electrical projects. Typical projects will include but not limited to, energy retrofits, mechanical/electrical systems renewal and replacements, scientific lab upgrades and fit ups.

Essential Qualifications

Post-secondary certification or technology diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management with five (5) years of relevant experience in the construction field;
Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, building systems and terminology;
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blue prints, specifications and contracts;
Experience and in depth knowledge of procurement processes, laws governing construction contracts and contracting;
Excellent leadership abilities in the delivery of projects;
Excellent client service/management, interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent Self-motivated, proactive and ability to multi-task;
Bilingualism – English and French (spoken and written)

Contract of approximately 12 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits will be determined upon hiring. This position is excluded from all union accreditation units.
