Title: Technical Support SpecialistLocation: Kanata, ONType: Permanent position Position Summary:We are looking for a full-time intermediate level Technical Support Specialist to provide first-line IT helpdesk support for staff.
Manage the IT Helpdesk system including triaging, categorizing, and responding to support requests as they arrive, complying with internal SLA policies.
This position is remote to start however you will be required to work onsiteRequirements:College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science or related technical field5+ years’ experience providing end-user technical support in a business environment.Experience configuring and supporting Windows-based computing devices and related peripherals, including OS imaging, domain management, user account management, network configuration, application troubleshooting, printer setup, cabling, and more.Strong knowledge of domain administration concepts, including AD user/group management, network file share management, group policy, DNS, and certificate management.Experience troubleshooting networking issues at various TCP/IP layersExperience configuring or managing virtual machines and associated environments.Ability to acquire and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.Experience administering or supporting various on-premise business applications including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, and Atlassian ConfluenceExperience administering or supporting various cloud-based business applications including Microsoft 365 (Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, etc.), Cisco Webex, and SalesforceExperience supporting or troubleshooting non-Windows operating systems including Linux, MacOS, iOS, and Android.
