A Bilingual Senior Partnership Specialist (Corporate & Media) is required for our nonprofit client in Ottawa.

This is a work from home opportunity during Covid, and there is a possibility of remote work moving forward.

This position will require occasional travel to Montreal, Toronto and other locations as required.This is a fantastic opportunity with a growing, dynamic organization that partners with leading aid organizations to provide Canadians with help during international humanitarian disasters.

This is a 1 year contract to start with full benefits and a strong possibility of continuing in a permanent role thereafter.Position Description: The Bilingual Senior Partnership Specialist (Corporate & Media) is responsible for identifying, cultivating and developing strong relationships with current and future corporations and Canadian media partners.

The successful candidate will work closely with other colleagues and members to develop and carry out the partnership strategies.

Excellent professional-level communication is required in both English and FrenchRoles and ResponsibilitiesEstablish formal partnerships with media and private sector organizations that translate into increased awareness and fundraising resultsDevelop and implement the partnership strategy and plan in alignment with the multi year strategic planImplement a pipeline process focusing on prospect research, case development, creating marketing tools and approaches, tailored engagement, cultivation, development, recognition and stewardship, as well as documentation and reporting on key metricsCoordinate meetings with prospective business and current partnersCarry out business development initiatives as requiredEnsure the donor database system (Donor Perfect) is being fully utilizedEnsure readiness for joint appeals, and collaborate with staff and members in partner outreach and mobilization during humanitarian crises.Remain active in ongoing learning and development on new trends in corporate partnershipsDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersQualifications and ExperiencePost Secondary Education in related fieldMinimum of 4+ years of fundraising experience with success in major corporate and media partnerships and/or major gift fundraisingExcellent written and verbal communication skills (English and French) including strong presentation skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as database management, analysis and reportingA self-starter who is able to work autonomously and be a strong team playerExcellent customer relationship managementProven track record of project planning, problem solving and multi tasking, with strong attention to detailAbility to handle confidential information with discretion, commitment to the AFP Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of RightsFamiliarity and experience with Canadian media and business landscape is considered a strong assetKnowledge or experience of international development or humanitarian workAvailability for occasional travel
