Manager, Third-party Assurance Attestation and IT Audit

Your opportunity

Our National Risk Advisory Services practice is looking for a Manager, Third-party Assurance Attestation and IT Audit to join our Consulting team. The role may be based in Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec city and will include national responsibilities including the following: 

 

  • Execute and deliver on project deliverables relating to SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 2+, SOC 3 audits, as well as assessments against other relevant frameworks.
  • Review key deliverables to ensure scope and budget remain aligned
  • Review and understand the contractual terms and scope of assigned projects
  • Ensure that BDO project governance framework is applied to projects
  • Ensure that project governance documentation is maintained, published and stored according to BDO Quality Audit standards
  • Ensure that the BDO Project Team follows BDO Methodology and is producing deliverables to standards and on schedule
  • Act as client advocate
  • Mentor colleagues and providing support and guidance
  • Demonstrate experience leading and working on high-performing teams

  • You will understand the industries BDO services and contribute to the group’s advancement.
  • You will ensure work is complete, accurate and appropriately reviewed by maintaining the necessary technical knowledge and professional development.
  • You will recommend and implement quality or efficiency improvements to our engagements.
  • You will actively engage in communication with people leaders to ensure understanding of performance and development, while identifying and attracting top talent.
  • You will support our firm’s revenue growth by referring clients to other services lines and new clients to BDO.

 

 Your experience and education

 

  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business and/or related major
  • Experience or specialization in information systems security an asset
  • Must hold CISSP and CISA.  
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001/27002, Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM),  Cobit, NIST, PCI and frameworks an asset
  • Experience in evaluating IT General Controls
  • Experience in evaluating/developing IT related policies is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of IT governance structures, architecture and cost structures
  • Thorough knowledge of all major technology project management activities
  • Ability to align project deliverables and customer expectations
  • Coaching and/or mentoring experience
  • Exceptional communication, written and verbal, presentation skills for internal/external purposes
  • Must be goal oriented, results driven and client focused
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual, collaborative organization and atmosphere
  • Effective time management skills
