SAP has built strong, strategic relationships across the public sector in Canada. As part of these relationships, SAP, as the trusted software partner, is expected to support and drive transformation across finance, human resources, procurement, supply chain and logistics, operations and analytics.

The Program and Engagement Lead is expected to lead the delivery of SAP’s services across premium engagement, advisory services and professional services for our strategic public sector customers supporting and driving strategic transformation. The Program and Engagement Lead will be dedicated to a customer or assigned to multiple strategic implementation programs as the program lead for SAP.





The Program and Engagement Lead will be required to fulfil the following roles:

  • Account and Stakeholder Management: The Program and Engagement Lead will be required to build strong relationships with our customers and internal stakeholders. As part of this, it is expected The Program and Engagement Lead will build strong knowledge of the operations, requirements, budgets and strategic objectives of the customer.
  • Program Management: The Program and Engagement Lead will be the strategic project management professional whose job is to help oversee and coordinate the various projects, products, and other strategic initiatives across their dedicated programs.
  • Services Delivery: The Program and Engagement Lead is responsible for delivering on the services strategy, aligned to the overall SAP strategy, monitoring performance, leading teams to an agreed vision and outcomes and driving business growth with their customer(s). This includes strong communication, planning, quality management and alignment across the internal stakeholders.
  • SAP Account Team Co-Ordination: The Program and Engagement Lead will be the face of services delivery for their customer; therefore, they will be required to align to the account strategy across all lines of business and communicate effectively with the overall SAP Account Team.



  • At least 5 years proven experience with customers in the Public Sector in a delivery role
  • Proven experience managing complex accounts, leading cross-functional teams and developing account plans
  • Experience in SAP implementation projects


Role Requirements

  • Substantial IT knowledge and knowledge of SAP products and technology
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English (Or French)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and etiquette to collaborate effectively with senior managers, including informing and presenting to CxO level
  • A real team player with initiative and ‘can do’ attitude who learns and adapts quickly
  • Being able to work under pressure, in critical situations and under tight deadlines
  • Influencing others with empathy: able to effectively communicate across cultures and audiences, using insightful questioning, storytelling and by showing empathy

Languages: English required, French is a bonus
