Sr. SharePoint Business Analyst to organize and facilitate group sessions for a MS Office 365 deployment project

This is a Contract position in Ottawa, ON posted November 11, 2020.

Our valued client is seeking a Sr. SharePoint Business Analyst for a 12 month temporary position in Gatineau.

Reporting to the IT Manager, Business Services, you will be a part of the project team responsible for deploying modern workplace capabilities with Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, etc).

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders, project team and end users; Prepare elicitation documents where required
  • Work with business to determine taxonomy and reference data management requirements for input into SharePoint;
  • Coordinate with vendor to create and configure SharePoint sites as per business needs; test and facilitate UAT;
  • Coordinate the implementation of MS Team Sites and O365 Groups as needed
  • Drive user adoption and training for SharePoint, Teams and other O365 services. Identify adoption and training needs; Prepare materials and execute training plans.
  • Assist with preparing deployment plans, configuration plans and support models for SharePoint and related applications; Present findings to IT stakeholders as required
  • Support / Operational activities for the end user community (enhancement requests, end user training, coordinating support tickets as needed)
  • Documenting support processes and governance process in relation to SharePoint, O365 Groups and Microsoft Teams management

Must Have Skills:

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst
  • Expertise in business process analysis, data analysis and requirements documentation
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online Modern Architecture, Office 365 Collaboration toolset and complementing technologies
  • Experience with SharePoint implementation and migration at the enterprise level
  • Experience developing and implementing Information Architecture plans for SharePoint and O365 environments
  • Experience documenting business requirements, test cases, and development of support model frameworks

Nice to Have Skills:

  • CBAP Certification
  • SharePoint Certification
  • Experience in the ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) field coordinating and facilitating consultations with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in PowerShell
