You as a Traffic Control and Parking Supervisor will:

  • Supervise the operation of the facilities, parking lots, and transportation routes and enforce the polices of pedestrian vehicular traffic on the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre’s site
  • Plan and schedule lot and roadway maintenance work ensuring proper continuing provision of facilities parking
  • Coordinate the installation and maintenance of traffic and directional signs on Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre grounds, ensure proper marking of assigned lots and roadways, and liaise with local transportation as required to assist planning of bus schedules, routes and stop access
  • Receive and deposit revenue from paid parking facilities, maintain records of revenue received. Prepare reconciliation of expenditures and revenues and verify against budgeted amounts and determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations, monitor, verify and reconcile expenditures of budget funds
  • Supervise applicable security personal’s actions as they relate to traffic and parking enforcement.
  • Interacts with clients (in person, on the phone or by mail) to resolve issues related to the issuance of parking tickets, dissemination of information regarding parking regulation.
  • Operate and maintain security ID system and database.
  • Backfill Call Center operations when call center staff are off on leave.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Minimum Secondary School Diploma AND five years of management, operation and maintenance of pay and display revenue control system and parking lot experience
  • Valid driver’s license – G level and ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
  • Knowledge and ability to use a computer and software applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Schedule – Normal working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Friday. However, successful candidate must have the ability to also work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to enhance the well-being of each client to ensure a positive memorable parking experience.
