Join a team that is committed to developing and retaining your talent.Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Operations Manager, planning and prioritizing electronic production builds at multiple assembly facilities to ensure efficient production flow and on-time deliveries for customers Monitoring production schedule status daily and communicating any issues that arise to Operations team Purchasing components for production builds, tracking delivery dates and escalating when necessary Reviewing Bill of Materials (BOMs) for production builds and understanding technical aspects of each of the electronic components in the BOMs to provide guidance on limitations and alternatives Kitting all production builds before shipment to assembly facilities, ensuring accuracy matching the BOMs Problem solving to resolve component shortages, shipment delays and customer priority changes Performing vendor relationship management, holding vendors to their commitment dates and proactively requesting updated quotes for best cost savings Leading shipping and receiving duties, including recording incoming and outgoing shipments, sorting and placing into inventory both physically and digitally, creating shipping waybills, packing slips and international shipment documents Assisting Operations Support with packaging and shipping products to customers when required Managing multiple databases to ensure accurate and up to date information is input Approving and categorizing vendor invoices for Accounts Manager Other duties as determined from time to time, including administrative tasks to support the team members of the CorporationSkills and Qualifications Candidate must: Have graduated from a 2+ year operations or logistics post secondary program, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience 2+ years of experience working in a similar role Have strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment Demonstrate a high degree of problem solving and organizational skills, while meeting required deadlines Ability to take initiative and resolve issues with minimum supervision Have advanced knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word Strong verbal and written communication skills Be willing to take on tasks as requirements arise Demonstrate good interpersonal and teamwork skills Additional qualifications include: Education or work experience in an electronic field is a strong asset Experience selecting components for electronic builds is a strong asset Advanced working knowledge of or experience in database management is an asset Experience working within the lighting industry or working with LED technology is an asset Experience soldering components onto printed circuit boards is an asset Posting Instructions Candidates are asked to submit a cover letter and resume, by email, to careers@arkalumen.com.
