Your new companyHays is currently representing a law firm in Downtown Ottawa that is currently seeking a Senior Legal Assistant to join their team.

This is a full-time, permanent role, for an experienced and tenured Litigation Legal Assistant.Your new roleYou will be responsible for managing all administrative tasks, preparing correspondence, affidavits of documents, books of documents and PowerPoint presentations; serving and filing legal documents; maintaining client flies, electronic and paper; entering dockets; preparing accounts, etc.

You will filter incoming calls/mail/email and follow-up on various information requests, including responding to client queries, and rerouting responses appropriately to ensure high level of client service and responsiveness.What you’ll need to succeedYou will have successfully completed a Legal Administration Certification or Diploma and have a minimum ten (10) years of experience in a legal support role, with a strong understanding of Litigation procedures.

Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook calendar and email management required along with experience with travel and itinerary planning).
