Based in Toronto, the Mergers & Acquisitions team operates within NBF’s Corporate & Investment Banking group and is focused on providing high value-add advisory services to corporate and financial sponsor clients across a variety of sectors both domestically in Canada and internationally.

Primary Job Responsibilities As an M&A Associate, the individual will actively participate in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior members of the M&A Team.

The individual will have a number of responsibilities which include the following: Preparation of materials and presentations to clients; Conducting financial analysis and modeling in support of transactions; and Originating and executing M&A and other advisory services Emphasis is placed on financial analysis, M&A transaction modeling and written presentations, but candidates must also show the ability to interact effectively with clients and coverage / product groups.

The M&A Associate position at NBF will appeal to highly motivated individuals with experience in investment banking seeking to further develop their careers in an entrepreneurial and high-energy environment.

We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated the ability to successfully contribute to the origination and execution of client mandates in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have superior analytical abilities, advanced oral and written communication skills, as well as an enthusiastic, co-operative and hardworking attitude.

We are seeking candidates who have: 2-4 years of investment banking or M&A experience; Exceptional financial modeling skills; Proficiency in the creation of Powerpoint presentations and other written documents; Ability to work on multiple projects with time sensitive deliverables; Advanced oral and written communication skills; and An enthusiastic, co-operative and hardworking attitude.
