This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted April 12, 2021.

Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Senior Coordinator, Release & Change Management who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

This position reports to the Manager, Release, Change & Deployment and is responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of software releases to the production environments.

This includes the monitoring of release progress through the entire pipeline, assuring quality standards are consistently met at each stage gate and coordinating releases and teams at the program, project and team levels.

Key Responsibilities:
·Meticulously review each change request submitted, ensuring all required information has been provided in conformance to established procedures.

·Schedule and monitor releases on a set timeline, and promptly adapt to unforeseen events.
·Effectively oversee staff involved in change activities, ensuring all resources meet their respective deadlines.
·Liaise with business leaders when initiating change requests, and collect approvals and sign-off.
·Ensure punctual releases and provide timely and clear communication to business leaders impacted by the changes.
·Diligently track and record all change management activity in adherence to audit requirements
·Negotiate with various IT and business leaders regarding deployments, system outages or timelines while being able to assess and clearly communicate the impact of each decision.
·Effectively conduct post implementation meetings, to ensure continual improvement
·Analyze and immediately decide on corrective actions, when required.
·Efficiently prioritize and address urgent requests.
·Lead IT audits, gathering supporting information and documenting processes.Requirements: Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in either Computer Science or related fieldExtensive hands-on and functional experience with an ERP is required (Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferred)Minimum of 3 years of experience in a coordination roleExperience with auditing activities and an understanding of audit requirements is highly desirable.Strong understanding of the ITSM best practice framework and the Change Lifecycle processKnowledge of all aspects of the end-to-end change & release process, including ensuring the build and test environment team and the release team are coordinatedKnowledge on the process of closing a release request and analyzing the results of the change implementation.Knowledge of SCRUM and or Agile methodologies is an assetStrong organizational and time management skills and high attention to detail.Ability to stay organized and work with a sense of urgency with multiple projects and deadlines at onceSound judgement, problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to determine the impact of a change by assessing risksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent facilitating, interpersonal and leadership skills in a team oriented environment.
