You will collaborate cross-functionally with architects, technologists, product managers, development, and customer-facing teams to ensure high performance, usability, and product quality.ResponsibilitiesInvestigate & implement next-generation build & configuration systemsMaintain & optimize existing build& configuration systemsIntegrate build systems into DevOps pipelinesInvestigate and solve a myriad of issues related to Wind River & customer buildsAbout YouCore Competencies & Demonstrated SuccessExperience with configuration management tools including KconfigExperience with containerized build systems and infrastructureExperience with build automation tools such as GNU Make, CMake, AntExperience with DevOps methodology and continuous delivery tools and frameworksExperience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins and KubernetesExperience with open source technology configurationScripting languages (e.G., Python, Groovy, Perl, Bash, PowerShell)Package management tools (e.G., yum)Experience with source code management tools like GitExperience with modern build systems for C and C++ and other languagesComfortable delivering in high paced environmentAble to creatively apply novel solutions to build & configuration problemsSolid experience with LinuxIt would be great if you also had experience with the following:Modern build systems for c and c++ code, autotools, make, cmake, bazel, meson, ninja, glibc, llvm, gcc, mingw, msys2, crosstool-ng, build, buildroot, building compilers, VxWorks, building Linux kernel, and/or relational database managementQualificationsGraduated with a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical disciplineSolid understanding of software engineering concepts with the ability to learn new technologiesExcellent verbal and written skillsExperience with open source contribution
