To accelerate their growth plans, they have a job opening for WarehouseManager / Operations Manager for managing rail and truck yard for Shipping & Receiving tankers of oil / chemicals / ingredients in a food compliant manufacturing plant in the Cornwall – Ottawa Smith Falls, ON region.

This is a senior leadershiphands-on role.

WarehouseManager / Operations Manager / Shipping & Receiving Manager is a newly created role to oversee shipping and receiving on an on-site rail served yard.

You will provide leadership to front line associates, shippers, receivers, material handlers and built a cohesive team environment in this time of plant expansion.

You will be fully responsible for setting up Best Practices, SOPs for Receiving /ShippingDangerous Goods like Chemicals and Food grains in bulk through rail and road tankers.You will manage the inbound and outbound loads, carriers, their performance management and inventory of tankers to ensure tanker availability.

You will work closely with Production and Quality assurance to ensure quick turn around in receiving and shipping inthis highly regulated food grade environment of liquid chemicals and food grains.

Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager / Shipping & Receiving Manager will ideally have 5+ years’ experience in managing a busy shipping and receiving on an on-site rail serviced dock and high-volume truck traffic for tankers .Experience with Dangerous goods (TDG ), experience in laying down policy and procedures (SOPs & Best Practices ) ;College diploma, Degree, courses in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, CCLP, APICS, P.

Log are all very helpful.Excellent communication skills ability to be hands-on, leadership is a MUST.
